Muhindo Nzangi launches the digitalization plan for Higher and University Education this Monday at UNIKIN
Minister Muhindo Nzangi Butondo launched the digitalization plan for Higher and University Education (ESU) this Monday, October 11 at the University of Kinshasa (UNIKIN), in accordance with the National Digital Sub-sector Plan of ESU (PNSN-ESU).
The head of ESU deplored the fact that in other countries, digitalization is effective and that in the DRC, at the academic level, operations are carried out manually.
“Manual registration, manual enrollment, manual deliberation, everything is manual in the DRC,” lamented Muhindo Nzangi, before recalling that “digitization will allow the country to know the exact number of students.”
In the same vein, Muhindo Nzangi Butondo recalled that the digitalization of the ESU brings several advantages, including the identification of not only students but also professors, assistants, and administrators. During the identification process, he emphasized, "everyone must present their file. We no longer want to have fictitious students in higher and university education."

With a view to improving the working conditions of students, Minister Muhindo Nzangi Butondo announced the major steps that will follow after the identification which begins with numbering.
"After the identification, the students will receive a card issued by myself, the minister. This card will also allow its holders to board the bus that we will make available to you," declared Muhindo Nzangi Butondo, to applause from the students.
In the process, the minister insisted on praising the leadership of Head of State Félix Tshisekedi.
“My dear friends, it is not me, it is the President of the Republic, so it is to him that we must address our thanks,” said Muhindo Nzangi.
It should be noted that before the closing of the ceremony, the Minister of ESU visited the digital infrastructure of UNIKIN located at the Faculty of Medicine and symbolically handed over the kits for said digitalization.
