Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the People's Republic of China, Zhu Jing, visits the University of Kinshasa
Visit on October 15, 2021 of the Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the People's Republic of China, Zhu Jing, to the University of Kinshasa.
On the program:
- A working session at the rectorate,
- A guided tour of the University of Kinshasa;
- An academic session in the Monekosso auditorium during which former professors studying in China, including Mr. Academic Secretary General Professor Eustache Banza, shared their study experience with the participants and encouraged those who wish to continue their studies in China.
- An exchange with the press and finally a cocktail.
In his welcoming address, Professor Jean-Marie Kayembe, Rector of the University of Kinshasa, thanked the day's guest for his visit. He also noted that this cooperation will support teaching and research, but also, and above all, digitalization.
For his part, His Excellency Mr. Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the People's Republic of China, Zhu Jing, described education as a driving force in the development of a nation.
He announced a quota of more than 10 scholarships to study in China for UNIKIN, donated some computer equipment to support the university's digitalization. He also presented gifts to former professors and students in China. He also signed the university's guestbook.
