Visit of the Ambassador of the Democratic Republic of Congo to China to the University of Kinshasa
This Friday, December 24, 2021, the Rector of the University of Kinshasa, Professor Jean-Marie Kayembe Ntumba, received a visit from the Ambassador of the DR Congo to China, Mr. Balumwene Nkuna.
The Rector of Unikin presented him with a postcard from his institution; the latter did not leave him indifferent: Mr. Ambassador was dazzled by the chapter on the achievements of Unikin students.
He was reminded that, during the visit of the Chinese Ambassador to the Democratic Republic of Congo to Unikin a few weeks ago, the latter had assured the Rector of Unikin of the start of a partnership, the granting of scholarships and the rehabilitation of the Promotions Room.
Invited to share his impressions in the Rectorate's guestbook, the Ambassador of the DR Congo to China noted the ambitious nature of the current Management Committee, he promised to promote bilateral relations between the two countries and to prioritize the twinning of universities.
This was followed by a family photo around the vision of Unikin, a glimpse of the panoramic view of the university site and the presentation of gifts to Mr. Ambassador: two works of art, one representing a student who extends his hand hoping for a return and the other a hope of maintaining good relations between the DR Congo and China.
Speaking to the press, the DR Congo Ambassador to China promised to deliver on the commitments made before the end of 2022. A short walk around the university campus concluded the visit.
