Under the high patronage of the Rector of the University of Kinshasa, the Professor Jean Marie Kayembe Ntumba, the Ministry of Sports and Leisure of the Unikin Student Coordination, is organizing an inter-faculty football tournament called Rector ChallengeThis tournament will take place on the football field of the Unikin sports circle from February 26, 2022 to March 16, 2022.

This opening ceremony is a masterpiece of the Unikin student coordination determined to promote this Alma Mater.

The Unikin Rector and the Management Committee are delighted by this ever-growing surge of creativity from Unikin students. They are demonstrating what they are capable of. The image sold to the nation is no longer that of the troublemaking student but rather that of the student aware that a healthy mind is essential in a healthy body. “mens sana in corpore sano”.

The Rector of Unikin welcomed the presence of Denis Kambayi, a former athlete and leader at Unikin. This demonstrates the student coordination's ability to mobilize alumni for major events. She was encouraged to follow up on the promises made to them by the honorable senator and to bring together more alumni to address the various challenges facing our Alma Mater.

 The opening match pitted the Faculty of Law against the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences.
