Ten days after the inspection visit to assess the state of the Unikin sports complex, the financing project for the rehabilitation and modernization of this complex is becoming a reality.

Indeed, this Friday, March 11, 2022, the tripartite commission, Unikin-Entrepreneur-Ministry of Finance, proceeded to the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding for the rehabilitation of the Unikin sports complex.

The Chinese Company Mango International will take charge of the said work, which it estimates will be completed in 10 months.

The Rector of Unikin, the Professor Jean-Marie Kayembe Ntumba, rejoices in this divine blessing which would be the fruit of the ecumenical religious service which had been organized at the beginning of this month of March. The cry of heart of the Unikin was heard at the highest level of the State and even at the level of the National Executive. For this, he thanked all the actors and all the heroes in the shadows who accompanied this approach and will not cease to do so for other projects. The local expertise, that of the Unikin, will be effective through the Faculty of Polytechnics whose students will be put to contribution in the progress of these rehabilitation works. It will be for them a life-size Practical Work.

Mr. Clément Mbikayi, coordinator of the monitoring unit for programs financed by donors at the office of the Minister of Finance  Nicolas Kadima Nzuzi, recalls that 60 years ago since the late Tshisekedi wa Mulumba graduated as a doctor from this Alma mater, from where, as the father of our democracy and progenitor of the President of the Republic, this makes the country's first university the object of all attention. Thus, to translate the vision of the Head of State, the Minister of Finance, in his prerogatives to mobilize revenue, has just directed this donation to Unikin for this work with the Mango company and the "  Magnificent Rector "who proceeded to sign the memorandum of understanding. It was only on the 1st^er not a long collaboration, because other renovation projects are being developed on behalf of Unikin.

Several renowned athletes have graduated from the Unikin Sports Center. Therefore, as soon as this facility is renovated and modernized, student athletes will be asked to make good use of it.
