2022-04-16 14:22Extraordinary security meeting of April 6, 2022/Unikin
The increase in insecurity, both day and night, with the presence of the kulunas, is disrupting the proper functioning of the various services operating on the Unikin site and in its surroundings.
Given the extent of this insecurity situation, the Management Committee of Unikn, headed by the Rector the Professor Jean-Marie Kayembe Ntumba , called an emergency meeting with the various services and structures dependent on Unikin, especially the heads of decentralized entities such as CUK, ESP, CHMA, CNPP, CREN-K and ERAIFT, to identify possible solutions by taking effective measures that will contribute to the security of the sites and the occupants, namely students and teaching staff.
During this meeting, the results of the investigations carried out indicated that the Unikin site is surrounded, on its CNPP slope, by a hot spot called Malolo district which is a hotbed of Kuluna bandits and drug addicts who spread terror on the site and its surroundings.
To eradicate this phenomenon and put these uncivilized individuals out of action, it is necessary to strengthen the capacities of the university security services internally with adequate material and financial resources, but also to increase staff numbers.
Rapid intervention is essential to ensure everyone's peace of mind.
