A mission to identify theARES, Higher Education Research Academy, was received on March 31, 2022 by the Management Committee in order to collect as much information as possible that could enable the formulation of the next support program for Unikin.
The objective of this mission is to identify the main axes of the future 5-year program to be developed for Unikin. The previous program having evolved well, the partnership was renewed, hence the steps to be taken to identify future activities. A steering committee will be set up, and the latter will return between September 2022 and December 2022 to formulate the future program and associate the different budgets with it. The differences between the previous program and the future one are still significant: the new budget will be more modest but the scholarships that form the majority of these programs will be financed by another budget line. The total budgets potentially available for Unikin will represent a fairly considerable sum.
ARES is also part of Unikin's strategy to ensure academic succession.
The Rector of Unikin, the Professor Jean-Marie Kayembe Ntumba, said he was satisfied with this partnership which constitutes an asset for the realization of the Unikin-Solution vision.
ARES's institutional support for Unikin is a program based on values and priority areas, the key elements of which revolve around gender, digitalization and the environment.
Unikin is among the universities in the South selected for this 2022-2027 partnership. ARES will provide it with all the necessary elements to achieve its objectives.
THE Professor Mvumbi, acting coordinator of ARES-Unikin, is pleased with the work done to grant Unikin a note of intent allowing it to benefit from this support. Hence the presence of the ARES identification commission, which came to assess the themes that should support Unikin in the implementation of its various projects (research and development projects, mobility grants, synergy with local public and private stakeholders).
