The prestige of a university comes not only from the quality of its products but also and above all, to a large extent, from the satisfactory organization of its services and departments, in particular the Security.

It is with this in mind that this Friday, May 13, 2022, a security meeting was held at the Rectorate of the University of Kinshasa. It brought together the Rector and his office, the University Police, experts in population sciences, those from the School of Criminology and the General Kanyama, trainer within the National Police.

The main objective of this meeting was to reflect on capacity building and revitalization of the University Police of the University of Kinshasa.

It follows that it would be necessary to:

• Identify activities likely to strengthen the capacities of university police;
• Reorganize the recruitment process for University Police elements to control staffing levels;
• Propose a training plan for the University Police;
• Propose an information sharing plan (intelligence networks) within the University Police;
• Develop a firefighting plan.

Securing the university site is everyone's business.
