UNIKIN-Publication of the ranking of Unikinois researchers coupled with the Collation of academic degrees this December 24, 2022.
This December 24, 2022, a day of celebration, the legendary Père Léon de Saint-Moulin amphitheater of the University of Kinshasa on the inspired hill vibrated to the rhythm of the Prizes, certificates, trophies and diplomas of Doctorate, Aggregation in Medicine, DEA/DES, Specialization, Engineers and License in the 13 Faculties and, more or less, 67 Departments of the establishment dear to Monsignor Luc Gillon, of happy memory. Congratulations to the researchers and graduates, now former students of UNIKIN, new Alumni.
On the subject of internal rankings, this was the culmination of a long annual process - 2021-2022 which consisted of the declaration of predefined performance indicators since the beginning of the year, completed virtually and monitored regularly.
Thus, the General for Research, Professor Antoine Tshimpi, proceeded to proclaim the 10 best senior researchers (at least the rank of Associate Professor), junior researchers (learners and doctoral students, assistants and project managers) as well as the ranking of the Faculties; Mr. Rector, Professor Jean-Marie Kayembe as well as Mr. Director of Cabinet of the Minister of ESU presented trophies to the Winners of the Year. Quality assurance passes through these kinds of things.
It should be noted, at the level of Senior Researchers, that the order of arrival at the top of the performance indicators indicates the following ranking for the first 10 places: Jean-Jacques MUYEMBE Tamfum (Medicine, Head of the INRB); 2. Raphael TSHIMANGA MUAMBA (Agronomy, Director of the Water School), 3. Benjamin LONGO-MBENZA (Medicine, former Cardiologist of President Mobutu), 4. Pius MPIANA (Sciences, Head of the National Scientific Council), 5. Pierre AKILIMALI, 6. Michel BISA KIBUL (Social Sciences, Scientific Secretary of the Governance Observatory), 7. Placide MBALA KINGEBENI (Medicine). The eighth place is contested on equal terms between Professor Sylvain SHOMBA KINYAMBA (Head of CDS and MES) and Pharmacist (Ph.D.) Patrick MEMVANGA BONDO (Head of CRITEES). The ninth place is also contested between two Professors of the Faculty of Medicine, namely (i) Jean-Robert MAKULO RISSASSI (Physician Director of the University Clinics of Kinshasa) and his colleague Steve AHUKA MUNDEKE. The tenth place was also hotly contested between Doctor Ernest SUMAILI KISWAYA (Head of the highly indexed journal of the Faculty of Medicine) and Professor of Law, Ivon MINGASHANG (Director General of the Center for Research in Social and Human Sciences-CRESH). In the attached file, the SGR teams have published up to the top twenty positions out of approximately 1,300 Senior Research Professors at UNIKIN. Each position is listed in the general file available at the SGR Office.
