Thursday, March 2, 2023, University of Kinshasa. Rector Jean-Marie Kayembe, accompanied by SGR Antoine Tshimpi, welcomed a UNESCO delegation, led by its Country Representative, Professor Isaias Barreto, accompanied by Saip Sy, in charge of the Education sector, Augustin Bikale, in charge of the Culture sector, Jadot Kasongo, in charge of the Sciences sector and Smith Mpaka, Project coordinator. The discussions focused on university museums and their scientific and cultural promotion (training, research, popularization, etc.), the digitization of both archives and our libraries like the medical library, in short the digitization of Unikin in all its areas, and the intensification of research for the promotion of our medicinal plants. The day ended with a visit to the sites (archaeological-prehistory and ethno-anthropology museums, science museums, herbarium, digital library of medicine and the pharmaceutical sciences drug manufacturing and control laboratories).
