The Honorary Rector of the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, Ms. Debora Kayembe, has been appointed Ambassador of the University of Kinshasa. The Rector of this higher education and university institution, Jean-Marie Kayembe Ntumba, announced the award to the laureate. Her many efforts to raise the profile of the University of Kinshasa on the international stage, her contribution to gender equality, her fight against racism, and her fight for human rights have all contributed to Kayembe's support. She will soon travel to Kinshasa to receive this award. This is the first UNIKIN Ambassadorship awarded to a prominent figure. This is likely the beginning of a new academic tradition.
