On Friday, January 10, 2025, Head of Research Ephraïm KABI KIRIZA YENE defended a thesis on “Geostrategy of Peacekeeping in Africa in the Face of Geopolitical, Political and Diplomatic Issues”. This research work, carried out within the Department of International Relations at the Faculty of Social, Administrative and Political Sciences, highlights the complex challenges facing the African continent in terms of peace and security.
In a context where geopolitical tensions and internal conflicts are frequent, KABI KIRIZA YENE proposes a methodical approach to strengthening peace initiatives in the Democratic Republic of Congo. His thesis addresses the determining factors in peacekeeping, emphasizing the importance of regional and international cooperation, as well as the essential role of African institutions.


This academic work also takes a critical look at current policies, highlighting the need for an integrated strategy that takes into account contemporary geopolitical realities. This session was chaired by the Rector of the University of Kinshasa, Professor Jean-Marie KAREMBE NTUMBA.
