On this day, February 14, 2025, beyond Valentine's Day, the University of Kinshasa launched the learning of Mandarin, the Chinese language. The signing ceremony of the cooperation between the Confucius Institute of the Congolese Diplomatic Academy and the University of Kinshasa took place at the residence of the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the DRC, Mr. Zhao Bin.

The Rector, Professor Jean-Marie Kayembe Ntumba, pledged to ensure the mobility of Confucius Institute teachers who will teach Chinese at the University of Kinshasa. The head of the University of Kinshasa also expressed his pride in welcoming the Confucius Institute of the Congolese Diplomatic Academy. Ambassador Zhao Bin highlighted the essence of this cooperation, which aims to facilitate Chinese language teaching in the DRC.
