The first edition of the APS World Physics Summit in the DRC: UNIKIN chosen as a satellite site.

The Minister of National Education and New Citizenship, Raïssa MALU, opened the first edition of the American Physical Society (APS) World Physics Summit at the University of Kinshasa. The joint March and April meeting took place this Tuesday, April 1, 2025, in the Faculty of Science and Technology, “Physics” major.
In her opening remarks, Minister MALU, a physicist by trade, recalled the maxim of the late Professor Physicist Engineer MALU WA KALENGA: “The wealth of modern nations is measured mainly by their capacity for innovation in science and technology, by the quality of the brainpower they are able to mobilize,” postulating that our country is capable of meeting this challenge thanks to science.


For his part, Professor Jean-Marie Kayembe Ntumba, Rector of the university, expressed his joy at hosting such an event in his address. The event took place in the presence of members of the Management Committee and the dean authorities of the Faculty of Science and Technology.
