On Wednesday, April 23, 2025, the University of Kinshasa hosted a morning of discussions in the MONEKOSSO room focused on financial opportunities, marking a potential partnership between Unikin and Bisou Bisou Microfinance. The session was opened by Professor Jean-Marie KAYEMBE NTUMBA, Rector of the University, who emphasized the importance of financial inclusion for students and academic staff.

Monsieur Gervais MILANDOU, Président du Conseil d’Administration de la Microfinance Bisou Bisou et Directeur Général du Groupe Léon Hôtel, a partagé son parcours inspirant, passant de vendeur de soutien-gorge à entrepreneur accompli. Il a mis en avant l’importance de saisir les opportunités entrepreneuriales et a présenté les services offerts par la microfinance, notamment des crédits adaptés et des formations des gestionnaires d’orientations.

Bisou Bisou Microfinance, licensed by the Central Bank of Congo, is committed to supporting small traders and entrepreneurs in the informal sector by providing them with accessible financial solutions. This planned partnership with the University of Kinshasa aims to strengthen the economic empowerment of students and promote entrepreneurship within the university community. Following the inspiring experience of Chairman of the Board Gervais Milandou, the students seized the opportunity to ask questions, with the aim of better understanding the keys to entrepreneurial success and aspiring to become future economic leaders themselves.
