Professors Espoir MASAMANKI IZIRI and Jean-Paul MBUYA KUTUMISA invited as Jury Members of the competition “My thesis in 180 seconds” by the University Agency of the Francophonie (AUF)”

These are two Professors from the University of Kinshasa. One from the Faculty of Law and the other from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. Alongside Jean-Louis TSHIKANGU, project manager at the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie, they evaluated 12 applications from various universities in the Democratic Republic of Congo, including the University of Kinshasa, the Catholic University of Congo, the Protestant University of Congo, the University of Lubumbashi, and the University of Kolwezi. This Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at the AUF headquarters, the Jury Members pre-selected the projects that will participate in the final.

Let us recall that the “My Thesis in 180 Seconds” (MT 180) competition takes place on stage and in front of an audience. Its mission is to:

  • Highlighting doctoral students in all disciplines;
  • To encourage young researchers to popularize their research work;
  • To raise awareness of the importance of dialogue between science and society;
  • To offer participants direct contact with the public;
  • To offer candidates quality experience and training in popular science;
  • To enable candidates to network with other researchers, other disciplines, other countries and other cultures.
