The University of Kinshasa informs the academic and scientific community of the opening of the call for papers for the East African Community Conference (EACON 2025), which will be held on October 7-8, 2025 in Mogadishu, Somalia.

Theme : Strengthening cooperation in productive sectors for socio-economic transformation in the East African Community.

Ce grand rendez-vous scientifique est ouvert aux chercheurs, enseignants, décideurs, partenaires au développement, acteurs du secteur privé et étudiants. Les contributions attendues doivent être originales et s’inscrire dans l’un des axes suivants :

• Agriculture & Food Security (precision agriculture, climate resilience, agroforestry, etc.)

• Digital Payments & Financial Inclusion (fintech, mobile money, cybersecurity, etc.)

• Trade Facilitation & Economic Integration (non-tariff barriers, infrastructure, regional policies, etc.)

Key dates:

• Deadline for submission of abstracts: July 15, 2025

• Submission of full articles: August 25, 2025

• Notification of acceptance: September 5, 2025

• Final presentation (PowerPoint): no later than September 25, 2025 at 3:00 p.m.

Selected papers will be published in the official conference proceedings and may be considered for scientific publications or regional policy briefs.
