From now on, the P1 auditorium of the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Kinshasa will be named "Auditoire SAMY ADUBANGO", in homage to the Vice-Minister of National Defense.
The official ribbon-cutting ceremony was held this Monday, August 11, 2025, at the Faculty. Completely renovated to modern technological standards, this auditorium is equipped with a digital device with a mobile interactive whiteboard, allowing for distance learning, virtual conferences, and remote monitoring of academic tests using cameras connected to the smart screen.

In his speech, Mr. Samy ADUBANGO, Minister of National Defense, expressed his joy and honor at seeing this space bear his name. He emphasized that the financial support he provided could not equal the grace of being immortalized within the country's largest university. The Vice-Minister expressed his gratitude to the UNIKIN Management Committee, welcoming the visible progress observed on the ground between the UNIKIN of yesterday and the one placed under the leadership of the current Rector, Professor Jean-Marie KAYEMBE NTUMBA.
He thus congratulated the pragmatism and the will of the Management Committee, through its Rector, for the efforts made to modernize the University.
Accompanied by the Academic Secretary General, Professor Charles ODIKO, the Rector of this Alma mater, for his part, praised the willingness of the Vice-Minister of National Defense, now an Alumni of UNIKIN, to invest in the education of young people in order to offer them better learning conditions.
