On Saturday, April 29, 2023, the Scientific Workshop organized by the Rector, Professor Jean-Marie KAYEMBE NTUMBA and his Management Committee closed.

The Reflection workshop, which began on April 27 and lasted three successive days, was organized by the University of Kinshasa in the village of Venus (Bibwa), and ended this Saturday, April 29, 2023.
The objective of the said Reflection Workshop was to provide innovative and participatory solutions in order to put an end to these problems which disturb the daily life of the Congolese population.
At the end of this three-day reflection session, the creation of suburbs was briefly proposed in order to relieve congestion in the current city of Kinshasa; the digitalization of the urban drainage systems of the City of Kinshasa by administrative entities and/or watersheds; the establishment of urban sanitation structures adapted to the current and future context.
This Reflection Workshop was attended by members of the Management Committee of the University of Kinshasa, represented by the Rector, Professor Jean-Marie KAYEMBE, the Academic Secretary General and the Secretary General of Research, the Director General of INBTP, experts from the various Ministries...
The closing ceremony was marked by the presentation of participation certificates by the Rector of the University of Kinshasa, Professor Doctor Jean-Marie KAYEMBE, accompanied by the Secretary General for Research and the Director General of INBTP.
This workshop, facilitated by Professors Kankolongo, Kapagama and Emina, resulted in recommendations reported by Professors Wenze and Memvanga.
These include:
  • The creation of suburbs to relieve congestion in the current city of Kinshasa
  • Digitization of urban drainage systems in the city of Kinshasa by administrative entities and/or watersheds
  • The establishment of urban sanitation structures adapted to the current and future context
