The proposed adaptive image interpolation method based on artificial neural networks is compared with neural network and image interpolation-based methods developed by contributed researchers using a USC-SIPI image dataset. The comparison is based on assessment methods such as Mean Squared Error (MSE), Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) and Structural Similarity Index Measure (SSIM). The comparison clearly shows that the proposed method outperforms its counterparts considered in this work.
