Signing of the memorandum of understanding between the University of Kinshasa and the Kinshasa War College

This Tuesday, February 8, 2022, an event of high scientific significance took place within the Unikin Rectorate. This involves the signing of a framework agreement between Unikin and the Kinshasa War College(EGK) relating to the development of a Master in Strategy, Defense and SecurityIndeed, the operational effectiveness of troops and tactical success is a task that involves the combination of several elements, including strategic planning. The latter calls upon intelligence.

In his welcoming address, the Rector of Unikin, the Professor Jean-Marie Kayembe Ntumba  presented the Unikin postcard, emphasizing the Unikin-Solution, for which he welcomed the support of the Kinshasa War College. "Now it is really time to begin," said the Rector of Unikin. This "magical moment" coupled with an "adrenaline rush" sealed a large-scale act between the University and the Army. "Today, war is prepared in the laboratory, it is a question of spirit, of intelligence, that is why our Army joins our University from which the greatest strategies must come, the design being the role of the University." The EGK will further train officers with all the possible skills who will help our country regain its place.

For his part, the commander of the Kinshasa War School, the General Godefroid Muland Nawej expressed his gratitude for the recognition of this master's degree by Unikin. This demonstrates the importance that Unikin places on this partnership, but also the maturation and realization of the vision of the Head of State, the Supreme Commander, Felix Antoine TshisekediThis partnership is part of the EGK's officer training. There are military and academic courses that will lead to this master's degree, which will provide experts in the fields of defense and security.

The Academic Secretary General, the Professor Eustache Banza noted the speed with which this file was handled, hence the expression of his gratitude to the Rector of Unikin, Professor Jean-Marie Kayembe Ntumba. He highlighted the remarkable presence of the academic staff of Unikin: out of 25 professors, 21 Professors come from Unikin.

For the Secretary General for Research, the Professor Antoine Tshimpi Wola, the Unikin-Solution becomes a reality. Researchers, brain warriors, join forces with the fighters of the Republic.

The Unikin Faculties involved in this partnership were present through their deans, who also expressed their thanks to the authorities of Unikin and the Kinshasa War College. These are the Faculties of Social, Political and Administrative Sciences with the Professor Kazumba Tshiteya, Economics and Management Sciences with the Professor Ngoyi Kasongo,and Right with the Professor Esambo Kangashi.

In the Rectorate's guestbook, General Godefroid Muland Nawej speaks of a "scientific pact" which marks a new era for the training of Officers, particularly those at the Kinshasa War College. He notes the degree of trust and the promptness with which this partnership has been achieved and wishes it a long life.

Symbols and brochures from the Kinshasa War College were presented to the UNIKIN Management Committee. Family photos were also on hand.
