Summary

This study aimed to relate emotional intelligence to the creativity of students in some secondary schools in the city of Kinshasa. Two instruments (puzzle test and emotional intelligence assessment scale) were administered to a non-probability sample of 137 secondary school students from two schools in the city of Kinshasa (Mont-Amba School Group and Mokengeli Pedagogical and Technical Institute). The results obtained attested to the existence of strong emotional intellectual potential. On the other hand, the creative level of the subjects surveyed is low. The regression analysis attested to the positive effect of emotional intelligence on the creativity of the students targeted in the study.
