On Monday, March 31, 2025, the Rector of the University of Kinshasa, Professor Jean-Marie KAYEMBE NTUMBA, was honored with the Positive Masculinity Champion Award, following the example of the President of the Republic, Félix-Antoine TSHISEKEDI TSHILOMBO, in recognition of his actions in favor of women. This trophy presentation ceremony took place in the Monekosso room of the university, as part of a conference marking the closing of Women's Month, organized by the Ministry of Gender and Student Coordination in collaboration with the Congolese Women's Forum.
Under the theme "Investing in Women, a Major Lever for Development," this event highlighted the importance of positive masculinity in social and economic development. In his speech, Rector Jean-Marie Kayembe Ntumba expressed his pride in receiving this award on behalf of the students of the University of Kinshasa, the Unikinois, while thanking the organizers for this rewarding initiative. He also promised to continue promoting actions that support this vision.
The conference also saw the participation of several influential figures, including the Battalion Commander of the DRC Land Forces Headquarters, Colonel Nenette MUKEMBE. The Minister of Gender and Student Coordination, Exaucée BOTOYI, took the opportunity to emphasize the need to invest in Congolese women to ensure the country's development.
To conclude this day rich in discussions, Rector Jean-Marie KAYEMBE NTUMBA visited the stand of the National Agency for Clinical Engineering and Digital Health (ANICNS), where he was informed of digital innovations relevant to the health sector.
