Scientific day of memory and homage to Etienne Tshisekedi

In collaboration with the Civil House of the Head of State, the University of Kinshasa organized this Friday, January 28, 2022, a scientific day of remembrance and tribute to Etienne Tshisekedi on the occasion of the five years since his death.

Under the theme: “ A look back at Etienne Tshisekedi's contribution to the advent of the rule of law democratic in the DR Congo ", this scientific day saw the participation of several prominent personalities, including the President of the National Assembly, Christophe Mboso ; the head of the civil household of the Head of State, the Dr. Bruno Miteo Nyenge ; the Attorney General at the Constitutional Court, certain deputies and senators.

In his opening remarks, the Rector of the University of Kinshasa, Professor Jean-Marie Kayembe Ntumba, justified the organization of this scientific day by the fact that Unikin celebrates on this occasion the scientific dimension of the first Doctor of Law of our Alma Mater. Etienne Tshisekedi, the student with registration number 550105, housed in Home IV, room 438 will be the myth deciphered on this day. Thus Unikin, through the Faculty of Law, has proposed to perpetuate the memory of this great man by publishing a book dedicated to his fight, a message of diverse reflections around his ideas. Regular activities will be organized to perpetuate his fight. Works of the mind, like great men, never die. ".

The head of the civil household of the Head of State will be delighted to see the life of this great man, Etienne Tshisekedi Wa Mulumba, being dissected, this man-phenomenon who can only be grasped through cross-scientific readings, each as interesting as the other. In view of the various communications of this day, Dr. Bruno Miteo said he was satisfied with this good intellectual gymnastics which will allow us to understand the real scope of the vision of this major player in the history of our country, affectionately nicknamed the Sphinx of Limete. It will be created on Etienne Tshisekedi Excellence Award to encourage the best unikin students.

A special honorary diploma bearing the image of Etienne Tshisekedi wa Mulumba, awarded by the non-profit organization BUAKANE, will be presented to the President of the National Assembly by Ms. Véronique Elisabeth Tshiala, a doctoral student at Unikin. This diploma elevates Etienne Tshisekedi to the rank of African Sphinx, the highest honorary distinction of this non-profit organization.

The 2th Part of this scientific day, moderated by Professor Gabriel Kwamamba, was structured around four communications of high scientific significance:
