First Edition of a Simulated Summit of Heads of State and Government

On Saturday, June 13, the Monekoso Hall at the University of Kinshasa, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, hosted the first edition of a simulated summit of Heads of State and Government. This event, organized by the International Forum of African Youth for the Development of Africa, had as its central theme "Strengthening Education and Civic Responsibility in Africa."
Chaired by Ambassador Lumeya Masuta Jonathan, an influential figure on the international stage, this meeting brought together many key figures. The Rector of the University of Kinshasa was honored with a certificate of merit as well as a trophy symbolizing African unity and leadership. Among the dignitaries present were Ambassador Reagan Shole; the president of the strategic think tank, Mr. Bodom Matugulu; and Ambassador Claude Mbuyi, president of the National Youth Council of Africa.
This summit was also broadcast online and caught the attention of several African heads of state as well as continental authorities, who praised and encouraged these young people for their commitment to the continent's development.
Lumeya Masuta Jonathan expressed his gratitude to Professor Jean-Marie Kayembe Ntumba, Rector of the University of Kinshasa, emphasizing that under his leadership, the university has hosted numerous international initiatives dedicated to youth. He thanked the Rector for his unwavering support for these large-scale projects.
This landmark event testifies to the growing importance of young leaders in shaping a better future for Africa, emphasizing education and civic values as essential pillars of development.
