"We must succeed in the regional integration of Congolese universities." This is one of the pleas made by Professor Germain NGOIE TSHIBAMBE during an international conference on Central Africa. This conference, organized by the Central African Studies Association (CASA) and the Institute of Economic and Social Research of the Faculty of Economics and Management of the University of Kinshasa, took place at the Center for Studies for Social Action (CEPAS). Several other pleas were made, including the call for greater promotion of Congolese culture, one of whose symbols, the Congolese rumba, has been elevated to the rank of intangible heritage by UNESCO (Prof. YOKA LYE MUNDABA). The situation of population displacement in Central Africa was established by Professor Jocelyn NAPPA USATU of the School of Population Sciences (UNIKIN). The conference featured 16 presentations spread across several interdisciplinary panels. The Rector of the University of Kinshasa, Professor Jean-Marie KAYEMBE NTUMBA, was represented by Professor Jean-Paul MBUYA MWAFULA KUTUMISA, his Principal Assistant.
