Symposium on Heritage, Restoration and Cultural Identity: Reflecting on the Gaps

A major event took place this Monday, April 15, 2024, at the University of Kinshasa Museum, in partnership with the University of Liège, addressing key issues surrounding heritage and cultural identity. Under the theme "We have gaps," this symposium brought together experts for a shared reflection.
One of the highlights was the presentation of a hologram which is a computer containing objects that are reflected in 3D, and from which one can also find some information on his works, this device intended for the University of Kinshasa where the University Museum is currently benefiting can also be used in various sciences such as medicine, biology, pharmacy, architecture, etc. Enriching the visitors' experience in culture, Professor Pierre Hallot, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Liège, brilliantly orchestrated this demonstration in front of a prestigious audience.
We also report that this delegation from the University of Liège, accompanied by the SGR, Professor YANDJU also met with the Rector of the inspired hill, Professor Jean-Marie KAYEMBE NTUMBA, to strengthen inter-institutional links and discuss future collaborations.
This demonstration also continued beyond the walls of the Museum the following day, on the esplanade of the administrative building and at the BIKEKO market (Arts Market) in the commune of Gombe where the contribution of students, art sellers, and other passers-by were useful in contributing on other objects for which there are gaps.
The delegation had to experience a demonstration on the repair of objects, a status with broken feet, part of which exists, and also the repair of a status with a broken and lost arm.
