This new entity, led with an iron fist by Professor Antoine Tshimpi Wola, is pleased with the work accomplished in a few months in improving the preparation, defense and post-defense of theses.

Speaking to the microphones of the press organs present on the site, the Secretary General for Research (SGR) will specify that this December 24, 2021, thesis defense number 99 took place. Indeed, from September 2020 to date, we have attended 99 thesis defenses, including 28 from the Faculty of Medicine.

He congratulated the authorities of this faculty in order to encourage other faculties to accelerate their research work because the country is waiting for them. From now on, a ranking table will be published so that all faculties feel involved in this activity. Research work should no longer last forever; it will be necessary to respect the stages of the doctoral code, which will be in effect from next week. In addition, the quality of the work presented will be ensured, as well as the popularization of the results so that decision-makers are aware of the level of performance of the research work conducted at Unikin. The role of the researcher is to take ownership of the problem facing the community and to provide solutions.

Coincidentally, the thesis defended on December 24, 2021, focused on the Christian churches of Central Africa, this date being the eve of a major Christian celebration. With this in mind, the SGR extended its best wishes for the end-of-year celebrations, particularly to the community of researchers and scientists, to move forward while reassuring them of the facilitating role that the current Management Committee will play.
