THE DEPARTMENTAL COUNCIL
The Department is the basic research and teaching unit enjoying management autonomy.
Its body is the Departmental Council.
The Departmental Council is made up of academic staff, project managers, two representatives of assistants and two representatives of students from the Department.
It is headed by a Head of Department appointed by the Rector for a three-year term, once renewable.
The Head of Department is assisted by two Secretaries.
One is responsible for teaching and the other for research. They form the office.
The Departmental Council exercises the following powers:
- It approves research and teaching programs and organizes the
scientific meetings;
- He advises on staff appointments and promotions
academic and scientific;
- He proposes the time charges to the Faculty Council.
