The Patriarch Professors of UNIKIN's Department of Management Sciences Honored by Their Disciples
"Old age is winter for the ignorant, and harvest time for the wise." This quote encapsulates the spirit of the tribute ceremony for the Patriarch Professors of the Department of Management Sciences at the Faculty of Economics and Management Sciences of UNIKIN, held this Friday, October 30, 2026, at the Hôtel du Fleuve.
This vibrant ceremony was sponsored by the Lisette KABANGA TSHIBWABWA Foundation, the Central Bank of Congo, and the companies Woodin and Vlisco. In total, seven professors saw their careers honored by those who have now become their colleagues, yet fully acknowledge the vital contribution of their former masters.
Among the professors awarded certificates of merit were: Professor KATANGA MUKUMADI, Professor KIBWEYI, Professor GAMELA, Professor ILASHI, Professor KALONJI NSENGA, Professor MAPHANA, and Professor MABI MULUMBA.
Testimonials of gratitude and personal anecdotes filled the ceremony, enriching the tributes to those whose names will henceforth be etched in the Pantheon of the Faculty of Economics and Management Sciences at UNIKIN. Each of the fortunate honorees received symbolic gifts from the sponsors (portraits, Vlisco wax fabrics, medals, etc.) along with a generous transport allowance of $100,000 from the Lisette KABANGA TSHIBWABWA Foundation.
