Deadline for submission of proposals: April 1, 2023.
We are pleased to announce the launch of the call for papers for the doctoral days "Critical Perspectives on Development", which will be held from October 18 to 20, 2023 on the Condorcet Campus, in Aubervilliers.
This is the second edition of these multidisciplinary and inter-institutional meetings, supported by the Condorcet Campus, GEMDEV, F3S and EADI, and involving numerous research laboratories, including CEPN, CREDA, D&S, Géographie-cités, Pléiades, PRODIG, SOURCE and UTRPP.
The first edition, which took place on November 3 and 4, 2022, brought together 40 French and international speakers around doctoral sessions, plenary conferences and workshops.
In light of this success, the JDRCD now wishes to establish itself as a regular and important scientific event to promote synergies between young researchers in social sciences contributing to critical research on development, in both the North and the South.
These days have three main objectives:
1. discuss the cross-cutting and epistemological issues and challenges of development research during plenary conferences,
2. Promote the work of young researchers in thematic presentation sessions (researchers at the beginning of their careers, doctoral and master's students),
3. better understand the diversity of ways of doing research and research professions, through workshops.
This year, we invite you to reflect on development based on the notion of “resilience”.
These days do not aim to close the debate on the polysemy and legitimacy of this notion. On the contrary, we believe that the different ways of understanding and criticizing resilience can nourish both transdisciplinary dialogue and the critique of development.
You will find the call for papers on the website. Please feel free to share it with your networks.
Proposals for papers, in French, English or Spanish, must be submitted by April 1, 2023 at the latest on the doctoral days website.
Please note that communications must be presented in French during the conference days.
