Under the high patronage of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Head of State, the Minister of Scientific Research and Technological Innovation with the support of UNESCO is organizing the Validation Forum for the Draft National Science Policy Document.

Produced with the support of UNESCO in Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), This Final Draft of the National Science Policy Document is the result of a long process that began in 2013 and produced a first draft in 2015, and whose progress towards this final version is a result of the publication of the 2030 Agenda (Sustainable Development Goals) by the United Nations in 2016, the development of the National Strategic Development Plan (PNSD) by the Congolese Government between 2017 and 2018, the production of Research and Development (RD) indicators, the Report of participatory consultations and the launch of the Science, Technology and Innovation Strategy for Africa by 2024 (STISA 2024) by the African Union Commission in 2015.
