Following, in convergence and/or in parallel with the United Nations Climate Change Conference "COP 27", the University of Kinshasa Unikin, (the largest and most important in Central Africa) invites us to a scientific meeting on all environmental issues scheduled for this Friday, September 30, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., in the Mgr Luc Gillon promotions room, in the administrative building.

The activity (see attached ToRs) will also be online, via Zoom. A link will be shared.

This scientific feast meeting is organized under the leadership of the Rector of the University of Kinshasa, Professor-Pulmonologist Jean-Marie Kayembe Ttumba with a threefold objective:

1. Restitution, by Unikin experts, of the work of the scientific conference (Precop scientifique) of Yangambi. It is also a question of anticipating the issues, in the face of the games of actors, national and international, official and unofficial, formal and informal, which flit around and within the natural and cultural ecology of the DR. Congo: the waters, forests, ... of Our motherland-Solution Country. Other experts in-house and elsewhere will enrich the debate and the solutions to be transmitted to the authority for the intelligent positioning of the DR. Congo.

2. To reflect and provide Congolese and global political decision-makers with the luminous contribution of the University of Kinshasa to the materialization of the vision of the government of the Democratic Republic of Congo DRC Pays Solution, based on scientific evidence.

NB. This scientific and civic feast is being held as a prelude to the pre-COP27 ministerial meeting in Kinshasa, scheduled for October 2022, and to COP 27, scheduled for Egypt in November 2022...who understood the strategic aspect? – Follow my gaze.

3. It is also an opportunity for the University of Kinshasa to play its role as Advisor to the Republic, guardian of the heritage bequeathed to us by the patriarchs.
