It was this Friday, September 8, 2023 that Professor Emeritus Simon LUFUMA LWA NKANDI was buried. The university community paid him a deserved tribute. An academic ceremony was held for this purpose in front of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Kinshasa. The Rector of this alma mater, Professor Jean-Marie KAYEMBE NTUMBA, who chaired the session, recognized in the illustrious deceased, a rigorous man in science and sociable. The Minister of Finance, Nicola KAZADI KADIMA NZUJI, who took part in the funeral, praised the qualities of the one who was a father to him because, being the friend of his children. As a reminder, Doctor LUFUMA, urologist, has held several positions including that of Medical Director of the University Clinics of Kinshasa, that of Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Kinshasa and Minister of Public Health in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
