Congolese Scientific Engineering Forum-2024: Rector Jean-Marie Kayembe proudly presented the innovators, researchers, and their groundbreaking prototypes to the nation and the head of state. The University of Kinshasa stands out this year with 10 cutting-edge innovations in the Top 50.
On August 29, 2024, the President of the Republic honored the Congolese Scientific Engineering Forum, celebrating the talents and innovations that propel the country's industrialization through Congolese knowledge and local materials: endogenous knowledge, know-how and know-how.
This major event saw the participation of creators, researchers and innovators from all provinces and the Congolese diaspora, with more than 500 projects submitted and 142 selected during the Pre-Forum.
In the end, 50 prototypes were distinguished by demanding juries, composed of a hundred rigorous and morally recognized teacher-researchers from Congolese university microcosms. Notably, Professors Muyrmbe Tamfum, Hyppolite Mimbu of the UCC, Ndaywel ē Nziem, Antoine Tshimpi, Patrick Memvanga, Bilolo, Malala,… It is worth noting the involvement of members of the Congolese Academy of Sciences and the Youth Academy. Not to mention the experts from several sectors of industrial, commercial and professional activity in the country.
Among these winners, about ten come from the University of Kinshasa (UNIKIN), under the leadership of Rector Professor Jean-Marie Kayembe Ntumba. Congratulations to UNIKIN, the heads of departments/deans, the supervisors, and Professor Kayembe for this remarkable achievement!
Following the honor bestowed by the Head of State, Guarantor of the Nation, the Rector will have the opportunity to receive these brilliant innovators in his office this Saturday at 10 a.m.
Two flagship products come from the Faculty of Social Sciences: (i) “Values and Symbols of the Republic” Presented by young researchers from the Governance Observatory, Nadia Kapinga, Benidi Kiula and Alphonse Muluba (Team of Professor Célestin Musao, the Maestro) and (ii) an electoral innovation led by Professor Ferdinand Kapanga Mutombo, from the Department of International Relations.
Other notable projects include advances in pharmaceutical sciences (Critess team dear to Professor Patrick Memvanga), in science, and in agricultural sciences, etc.
Bravo and congratulations to all Congolese innovators, researchers and creators for their exceptional contribution!
