In her speech, the representative of the female police officers noted that this is the first time that a Management Committee has not only honored them but also trusted them for such a heavy task as securing the University. The Unikin female police officers are requesting the improvement of their working conditions, the provision of a service jeep for patrols and various interventions, and their assignments in student residences instead of placing male police officers there.
In turn, the Rector of Unikin, the Professor Jean-Marie Kayembe Ntumba, paid tribute to these brave women, he appreciated their dynamism during their taking office: punctuality, professional conscience, rigor in work, order, cleanliness, etc. He promised, on behalf of the Management Committee, to consider their grievances.
Another highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of gifts by the Unikin Management Committee to the female police officers who performed their duties during March 2022, a special month dedicated to the recognition of women's rights. These gifts consisted of service vests and t-shirts, as well as envelopes of encouragement.
