An important working session was held on Friday, November 12, 2021 in the Monekosso room, focusing on " The strategic transformation of the University of Kinshasa ».

By way of introduction, the Rector of the University of Kinshasa, Prof. Dr. Jean-Marie Kayembe Ntumba drew up a comprehensive picture of the current state of operation of the University of Kinshasa as well as a future perspective for the University of Kinshasa in the 2021-2026 horizon. While recalling that the last five-year plan dates back to 2006, he focused on two major challenges: The academic succession and the digitalization of management from the University of Kinshasa.

As for the subject of the strategic transformation of the missions of the University of Kinshasa, the animation was coordinated by Consultant Al Kitenge and his team. The latter is a strategist and expert in organizational transformation. He presented the audience with concrete proposals so that the University of Kinshasa can continually reinvent itself:

• General Assembly of the University of Kinshasa;
• General States of the Faculties;
• New economic model of the University of Kinshasa;
• New structuring of the Student-University pact (pact based on performance and assignments);
• In-depth digital transformation;
• Establishment of a placement center (jobs and internships);
• Skills centers to be developed;
• Implementation of an electronic portal for the University of Kinshasa.

The management committee was warmly thanked for this laudable initiative, which will probably be reorganized at the request of the participants.
