A mid-term evaluation meeting for the 2021-2022 academic year at the University of Kinshasa was held this Friday, October 7, 2022 in the Mgr Plevoets Academic Senate room.
Chaired by the Rector of Unikin, the Professor Jean-Marie Kayembe Ntumba, this Council of Partners, COPA in acronym, focused on the progress of academic activities with a view to considering a smooth end to this academic year.
The union structures present (APUKIN, ACS, APAT) as well as the student coordination, stakeholders in this meeting, rallied to the commitment to promote the spirit of cohesion that characterizes the various bodies of Unikin. This was the main objective of this meeting chaired by the Rector.
Other issues discussed during the meeting included partnership bonuses, student fees and the acceleration of modular teaching.
For this purpose, the Professor Lubo, President of APUKIN, declared that the end of the strike should not be delayed given the clear will of the Head of State, the President Felix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo who has the situation of University Professors at heart.
In addition, the Unikin student coordinator, Mr. Ontonashe Tolela, invited his fellow students to pay their academic fees to enable the payment of partnership bonuses to Unikin staff.
A plea was made to the government to ensure that teachers' specifications are respected. This would improve the progress of academic activities and bring the 2021-2022 academic year to a successful close.
