SOS RIVIÈRE “Awareness Raising for Decision-Makers Part 1”

UNIKIN SOLUTION - The University of Kinshasa demonstrates its commitment to combating water pollution and encourages mayors to become involved in raising awareness among the Congolese population.
Professor Céline, administrative members and students carried out an awareness-raising trip to four rivers, namely the Kemi River in the commune of Lemba, Matete in the commune of Matete, Funa and Yolo in the commune of Limete.
All these rivers are subject to social phenomena and dangerous practices that destroy and suffocate them while causing silent damage to the riverside population. Munduki Phenomenon »
The University of Kinshasa intends to support municipalities in finding solutions to various problems in our society.
Indeed, unikin is willing to support all municipalities in preserving the environment, hygiene and also public health.
There are many students who initiated the projects, there is also Professor Céline who also initiated many projects within the framework of the protection of water resources.
Unikin promises to return in the coming days to finally provide solutions to this problem.

The mayor of Matete, points out that there are about 5 tons of waste produced at the Matete market, he suggests that each vendor give at least 100 CDF per day to rent equipment that will allow the removal of the garbage.
Unikin students, specifically those from the Faculty of Science, specializing in environmental science and management, including volunteers from the student movement, Unikin environmental guardians, the Minister of Sustainable Environment and Unikin student coordination, are willing to support municipalities on a technical level to promote the recycling and recovery of bio and non-biodegradable waste produced daily by municipalities.
