Structuring the Master in Green Economy and Climate Finance: Stakeholder Meeting at the University of Kinshasa

A stakeholder meeting was held this Monday, September 1, 2025, at the University of Kinshasa, in collaboration with the Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture (RUFORUM). The main objective of this meeting was to lay the foundations for the creation of a Master's (MSc) degree in Green Economy and Climate Finance.
Ce programme interdisciplinaire sera hébergé au sein de la Faculté des Sciences Agronomiques, avec l’implication de la Faculté des Sciences et Technologies, et la Faculté des Sciences Économiques et de Gestion.
During the meeting, several key themes were addressed, including: The importance of strengthening national capacities in the green economy and climate finance; The establishment of professional internships and partnerships (internships, field laboratories, collaborative research projects); …
In his welcoming address, the Rector of the University of Kinshasa, Professor Jean-Marie KAYEMBE NTUMBA, thanked RUFORUM for its technical and institutional support.

He also invited the Rector of IFA-YANGAMBI, Professor MAJALIWA, representing RUFORUM, to convey the thanks and recognition of the University of Kinshasa to the organization. Both universities expressed their full willingness to launch this innovative program in the coming days.
The meeting was held in the presence of the representative of the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation.
