Du 16 au 19 Août 2022, l’Université de Kinshasa a été honorée par la visite d’une délégation venue de KU Leuven composée de des deux Vice-Recteurs de ladite Université dont la professeure Chris Van, chargée des Sciences Biomédicales et du Développement Global et du professeur Peter, en charge des Relations Internationales ainsi que Laurens qui est conseiller à la coopération.
Received by the Rector of the University of Kinshasa, Professor Doctor Jean-Marie KAYEMBE NTUMBA accompanied by the Secretary General for Research, Professor TSHIMPI and the Administrative Secretary General, Professor LAPIKA, the Belgian delegation and the members of the Management Committee of the University of Kinshasa mentioned above had a working session in one of the most beautiful conference rooms of the Universities of the Democratic Republic of Congo in general and of the University of Kinshasa in particular, "the Academic Senate" before starting the various visits to the following places:
First within the University of Kinshasa:
– Visit to the Medical Facility (Digital Infrastructures);
– Visit to University Clinics;
– Visit to the School of Public Health;
– Visit to the CNPP;
– Visit to the Faculty of Sciences;
– Visit to the Polytechnic Faculty;
– Visit to the Central Library;
– Visit to the University of Kinshasa Museum and its archives.
Let us also remember that the tour which started at 7:00 a.m. ended at 8:00 p.m.
While some are concerned with great intellectual works for the general interest, others, on the other hand, are concerned with the base and behind-the-scenes work.
Then, the visits continued outside the University of Kinshasa:
– Excursion vers le Site Agronomique de l’Université de Kinshasa se trouvant à N’djili Brasseries;
– De N’djili au centre-ville pour le lancement du chapitre des ALUMNI à l’ambassade de la Belgique.
It is worth recalling that this visit also aimed to prepare the way for the Rector of KU Leuven, who will in turn come to the Working Session at the University of Kinshasa at the beginning of next year.
