Badges for motorcyclists at the University of Kinshasa site.

This Thursday, December 23, 2021, the Rector's decision concerning the code of good conduct for motorcyclists on the UNIKIN site came into force.

A badge award ceremony was organized for motorcyclists at the Unikin site to ensure the effectiveness of this rectoral decision.

Speaking, the Rector of the University of Kinshasa, Professor Jean-Marie Kayembe Ntumba, spoke in Lingala to share his vision of this new code of conduct with motorcyclists. To effectively secure the Unikin site environment, it would be wise to identify motorcyclists, whether day or night.

Then it was the turn of the Coordinator –Unikin to FENATRAD (National Federation of Two or Three-Wheeled Transporters), Mr. Francis Lubila called " Solution " by the members of his corporation, who thanked the Rector for this initiative. He also expressed his joy at seeing motorcyclists being valued for once. The latter, commonly called "wewa" are often singled out, treated as "kuluna", "thug", ... This approach honors them but it will also allow the infiltrators to be unmasked.

This was followed by the presentation of badges by the Unikin management committee to the motorcyclists present for the occasion.

A family photo and refreshments were on the agenda.
