Dr. Debora Kayembe has been recognized as one of the 10 most influential personalities of the year 2024 by the pan-African magazine Ngambo na Ngambo.

This distinction recognizes her significant impact and commitment to human rights and social justice. Originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Dr. Kayembe is a lawyer and human rights activist, having served as Honorary Rector of the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. She has also been designated an ambassador for the University of Kinshasa.

Currently, she is pursuing a fellowship at the Carr Center for Human Rights and the Harvard Kennedy School in the United States.
