RESEARCH… AND REFERENCING “UNIVERSITE DE KINSHASA” OR “UNIVERSITY OF KINSHASA” DAILY AND ON ALL OUR DOCUMENTS!

We initially thought that only 4 of our experts were in Yangambi, as part of the Pre COP 27. They were finally there… 14! They left in a scattered order, and at the same time diluting the influence or presence of
The University of Kinshasa. This is the bitter observation made by the researchers concerned themselves, who have promised to proceed differently from now on. This is a good thing, since it is in line with the reminder from the Rector, Professor Jean-Marie Kayembe Ntumba. A reminder of the need for researchers at the University of Kinshasa to obtain authorization for any mobility, a reminder of the importance of displaying "Unikin" at its various meetings. And heads of delegation should insist, where appropriate, on the presence of the Unikin logo and referencing on documents. The same reminder concerns all researchers, all fellow authors or co-authors who publish in national or international journals: they must ensure that they reference the "Université de Kinshasa" or "University of Kinshasa," their home university. These shortcomings are very common and even concern some Schools or Research Centers, which "forget," and this is very damaging, to include the University of Kinshasa logo on their documents. However, the national and international visibility of our dear mother university is at stake, and we have a duty to hold the standard high!
