WEEKLY RESEARCH NO. 35/2022 (Week 43, November 6-13, 2022)

UNIKIN ALUMNI SUPPORT RESEARCH!

1. Mgr Tshibangu hammered it home during an inaugural conference of the 5th AFMED Congress in 2015: "Alumni are a force that must be awakened in our country. They should contribute, directly or indirectly, at least 15 % to the operating budget of their training universities."

2. Afmed-Unikin, the Association of Alumni and Friends of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Kinshasa, just held its 10th international congress from November 7 to 11 at Sultani River, the work of Dr. Sulu, a long-time Afmed alumni. The pace and quality of the scientific program delighted the participants. Frankly, the presentations during the gastroenterology, cardiology, nephrology, and many other sessions, supported by references from numerous publications by local teams in internationally renowned journals, earned the admiration of all. The University of Kinshasa is well and truly back on the international scientific scene.
3. We should not hesitate to ask for the results of AFMED-Unikin from the very happy Honorary Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, a certain Professor Jean-Marie Kayembe, current Rector of our Alma Mater, from the current Dean, Professor Roger Mbungu, from the Honorary President of AFMED-Unikin, the now Professor John Nsiala, or from the brand new President, Doctor Daniel Tonguangu. The actions in favor of the training faculty, in favor of the university are numerous.
