WAR IN THE DR CONGO AND CONTRIBUTIONS OF RESEARCHERS
The war in the East and insecurity throughout our country remain daily concerns for all researchers and all Congolese people. The call for general mobilization, from His Excellency Félix Antoine Tshisekedi, President of the Republic, Head of State, relayed by His Excellency Muhindo Nzangi, Minister of Higher and University Education, who announced "training in military preparation for students" from the next academic year, was heard at the University of Kinshasa and led to the organization of three days of scientific reflection.
: The Mgr Luc Gillon Promotions Hall received approximately 300 participants, both in person and remotely, from various Congolese universities, from various African countries such as Zambia, Namibia, but also from elsewhere (Belgium, United Kingdom, etc.). This activity was chaired by the Management Committee, led by its Rector, Professor Jean-Marie Kayembe.
The theme was: "Insecurity in the DR Congo, in the era of aggression in the eastern part of the country. What contributions are researchers making?" The program and the range of experts invited alone were thrilling.
