1. A Kenyan satellite was successfully launched on April 11, 2023. It is the result of a two-year collaboration between Kenyan researchers and American teams. Kenya is now part of a select club of 13 countries with a satellite. This tool will provide data that will enable efficient planning in the fields of agriculture and the environment, and will contribute to more rational water use in this country where drought is a real scourge in certain regions. This success makes us forget the failed attempt for the first Kenyan satellite, Taifa 1. Of course, many other countries will benefit from this success. Science learns from its failures and enables progress!
