On December 20, 2024, an official handover ceremony took place at the School of Public Health of the University of Kinshasa. Professor Éric Mafuta Musalu succeeds Professor Désiré MASHINDA KULIMBA as head of the Steering Committee.
The ceremony was chaired by the Rector of the University of Kinshasa, Professor Jean-Marie KAYEMBE NTUMBA. Alongside him, several key members of the new Steering Committee were introduced: Professor MUTOMBO BEYA as Deputy Director, Professor Aimée MAMPASI as Coordinator in Charge of Academic and Pedagogical Affairs, Ms. Christine PAONI BASOSILA as Coordinator in Charge of Administration and Finance, and Ms. MALONDO BINDA LOLO, Coordinator in Charge of the Mont-Amba Hospital Center.

In his speech, Professor MAFUTA MUSALU, visibly moved, expressed his satisfaction at beginning his duties and his commitment to continuing and building on the excellent work already accomplished by his predecessors. This transition brings with it considerable hope for the future development of the School of Public Health, reflecting an institution steeped in excellence.
