UNIKIN students urged to respect the line of conduct during the demonstration of solidarity with the populations of the East and the FARDC

The Management Committee of the University of Kinshasa called on the students of this Alma mater to respect the line of conduct, to maintain harmony and to materially channel the solidarity of all members of the University of Kinshasa towards the President of the Republic, Félix-Antoine TSHISEKEDI TSHILOMBO, the Government of the Republic, the populations of the East, as well as the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo. This exchange, focused on concerns relating to the situation in the East of the country, was held this Tuesday, January 28, 2025, in the room of the Academic Senate Mgr Maurice Plevœts of the University of Kinshasa.

Several measures were taken during this meeting, including: the organization of a solidarity march this Thursday, April 30, 2025 in favor of the populations of the East and the FARDC, planned for all students of the Republic, in accordance with the circular of the Minister of ESU, Marie-Thérèse SOMBO AYANNE Safi. The Rector, Professor Jean-Marie KAYEMBE NTUMBA, who chaired this meeting, made the students aware of the importance of avoiding acting in a dispersed manner in order to counter infiltrations motivated by acts of looting.
