A solemn, colorful ceremony took place this Monday, September 19, 2022, in the Mgr Luc Gillon graduation hall at the University of Kinshasa. It served as the setting for the inauguration of Unikin's new student coordination.

This is a first for Unikin to see direct universal suffrage elections being organized for the choice of members of the student coordination.

The new team resulting from these elections is chaired by Mr Michel Onthonashe Tolela which is seconded by Miss Rose Kapinga Kabulwe SharonHis term of office is one year.

The outgoing coordinator, Mr. Marcellin Bagaza, gave a brief assessment of his mandate and presented some suggestions to the incoming coordination.

The Rector of Unikin, the Professor Jean-Marie Kayembe Ntumba, accompanied by its Management Committee, invited this new student coordination to work with full responsibility while promising them its support and assistance.

For their part, the newly elected officials expressed the wish to succeed in meeting the various challenges that await them, including improving student support, securing the university site, improving student study conditions, promoting entrepreneurship and innovation, developing skills, etc. In short, restoring the image of the University of Kinshasa while being the direct spokesperson for students with the authorities of this Alma Mater.
